Cyril Hetzel

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer,
Economics of Mutuality Alliance

Cyril leads people, finance, commercial, and legal across the Economics of Mutuality Alliance, focusing on building the systems, capabilities, and ways of working that enable the organisations of the Alliance to create mutual value for their internal and external stakeholders.

With nearly 20 years of international experience across finance, operations and sustainability, Cyril brings a practical understanding of how organisations can become resilient and impact their ecosystem.

He managed various teams of internal and external stakeholders, building trust and engagement with people beyond organizational borders. In particular, he managed the involvement of Mars, Inc. in the Livelihoods Fund for Family Farming, an initiative to secure thriving livelihoods for smallholder farmers’ communities across supply chains.

Cyril holds a Master’s degree in Management from ESCP Europe in Paris and a Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting.

Cyril is deeply committed to scouting, where he has served in national leadership roles, and enjoys rock climbing — a good and practical way to experiment trust and mutual commitment.

He is French and based in Strasbourg, France, seat of the European Parliament.
