Emma Kemp

People and Organization Manager

Emma’s core focus is the wellbeing and development of our own people. She takes a lead on shaping our team culture and developing practices that put people first, supporting ways of working that suit our international, hybrid team.  Her work helps us to build our own capabilities, underpinning what we do with organizations, leaders and systems.

Before joining Mutual Value Labs, Emma worked in local government in the UK as a social worker, manager and educator, as well as in organizational development roles. She also worked with third sector organizations as a consultant and trainer, supporting safer, more inclusive cultures. Across these roles, she has gained knowledge and experience with teams in complex settings, and brings a deep commitment to helping people thrive at work.

Emma holds an MA in Social Work from the University of Warwick, with postgraduate qualifications in mental health and practice education. She has completed training in coaching, facilitation, and adult learning and development. Emma continues to develop, staying up to date with evolving people practice globally.

Emma’s hobbies include singing in a local choir and performing with an improv comedy troupe. She lives in Coventry and, while she enjoys the flexibility of working remotely, she also travels regularly to work in person with other members of the team.
