Ruth Stoddart (prev. Wilkinson)

Strategic Lead

Ruth is a Strategic Lead at Mutual Value Labs and Program Director for our learning programs, including the executive leadership program and Meaningful Growth digital learning program. Alongside this, she works directly with clients across a range of sectors, helping people build the capability to put mutual value into practice.

Much of her work involves creating the conditions for good conversations: helping teams surface where there is potential to create mutual value, make choices together and organise around delivering it. Most recently, she spent a year working with HEINEKEN UK on its mutual value creation strategy, exploring how tackling loneliness and building social connection can form part of an enduring and reciprocally profitable business model.

Ruth sits on the UK mirror committee supporting the development of ISO 37011, the international standard for purpose-driven organisations, and has a particular interest in governance and how organisations make decisions. She previously facilitated the Purpose in Practice community, established by NatWest and Blueprint for Better Business, including an inquiry with 40 practitioners into what strategy needs to look like to support purpose. Before joining Mutual Value Labs, Ruth led purpose and impact at an employee-owned management consultancy and sustainability and impact within a large healthcare organisation.

Ruth has a first-class honours degree in English and American Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Kent.

Ruth lives in South East London with her husband, where weekends tend to involve Park Run, swimming at Brockwell Lido, and eating /drinking with friends.
