Strategic Lead, Business & Purpose Transformation

Ruth Wilkinson joined Mutual Value Labs in 2025, bringing a decade of experience in the purpose and impact space.

As a Strategic Lead, Business & Purpose Transformation, she works closely with businesses to explore their most meaningful contributions to long term wellbeing for people and planet. Ruth specializes in guiding organizations through a purpose-led transformation journey: from identifying the systemic challenges they are best placed to address, to gathering deep stakeholder insights, designing innovation concepts, and building the measurement and management frameworks needed to scale mutual value.

Her work spans sectors including financial services, real estate, and FMCG, supporting both UK and global clients from her base in London.

Ruth is known for her skill in facilitating complex, strategic conversations with clarity and depth. She previously co-led the Purpose and Strategy lab as part of the Purpose in Practice Community — a network convened by NatWest and Blueprint for Better Business — where she co-led with Ofcom and Anglian Water to facilitate 40 participants to explore how strategy might evolve to support purpose-led businesses.

Before joining Mutual Value Labs, Ruth was the Sustainability, Purpose and Impact Lead at Clarasys, a 200-person management consultancy. She has also held in-house roles in sustainability and impact at a leading UK children’s charity.

She holds a first-class degree in English and American Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Kent, where she then went on to be Students’ Union President.
